Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using the site, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. Do not use the site if you do not agree. A minor may use the site only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian where required.

Informational and entertainment use

PVL ratings, trade values, trade suggestions, scouting-style summaries, rankings, and game results are analytical estimates provided for informational and entertainment purposes. They are not official club evaluations, guaranteed predictions, financial advice, legal advice, contract advice, betting advice, or instructions to make a real-world transaction.

Baseball decisions depend on information that may not be public. Actual teams, players, agents, and leagues may value the same information differently.

Accuracy and availability

PVL works to keep information current and useful, but data can be delayed, incomplete, incorrectly matched, or changed after publication. Ratings and models may be revised without notice. The site may be unavailable during maintenance, data updates, or technical problems.

Permitted use

You may use the public site for personal, non-commercial baseball research and entertainment. You may share ordinary links to public pages and brief excerpts with clear attribution to Player Value Labs.

Prohibited use

You may not:

• Copy, republish, sell, license, or commercially exploit a substantial part of the site, its databases, ratings, or original presentation without permission.
• Use automated tools to extract data at a volume or speed that burdens the site, bypasses access controls, or creates a competing database or service.
• Attempt to access private systems, source data, credentials, non-public models, or restricted administrative features.
• Interfere with site security, availability, ad delivery, games, rankings, or other users.
• Use the site for unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or infringing activity.

Intellectual property

The PVL name, branding, site design, original ratings, model outputs, written explanations, game presentation, and original compilations are owned by Player Value Labs or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Baseball statistics, factual records, team names, league names, player names, and third-party marks may belong to or be maintained by their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement.

Feedback and community submissions

When you voluntarily send a correction, idea, suggestion, trade package, vote, or other feedback, you give PVL permission to review, display, rank, use, adapt, and incorporate it without compensation or an obligation to keep it confidential. Do not submit private information or material you do not have the right to share.

PVL may limit trade submissions, reset votes, remove duplicate or abusive activity, and remove or reorder community submissions to protect the feature and keep it useful. Community votes represent visitor opinions and are not official PVL ratings.

Third-party services, links, and advertising

The site may contain links to third-party websites, data providers, advertisers, or services. PVL does not control their content, availability, products, privacy practices, or terms. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider's rules.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site is provided as is and as available. PVL disclaims warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Player Value Labs and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or decisions made in reliance on the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes and termination

PVL may change, suspend, or discontinue any feature and may restrict access when needed to protect the site, enforce these terms, or comply with law. These terms may also be revised. Continued use after revised terms are published means you accept the revised terms.
